Recently this little guy turned 3!
The day after Lincoln turned 3. Wyatt turned 5!
Seemed like a pretty good reason to throw a themed birthday party. We decided on a Carnival theme… Here is a small peak into the preparations and the festivities of the evening. With a HUGE thank you to my talented friend Sara. She captured all the moments perfectly!
The Decorations
“Food Truck”
Christmas lights+ Ping Pong Balls+ Paneling+ Paint= Best food display EVER
In retrospect I wish I had given myself some time to get myself ready for the party…
Photo Back Drop
Guess what!? Those Marquee letters actually light up! Love it. Would you believe those are ping pong balls, Christmas lights, and twin sheets ? Cheap and easy!
The Games
Disk Drop
This is just peg board and golf tees Just add some paint and wooden disks and voila, you have a fun little anxiety attack for kids.
The ” Bean Bag Toss”
Need a party game ? This is a simple one! All you need is a piece of cheap paneling, a jigsaw, and some paint and you are good to go! Although I actually forgot about making “bean bags”, so we used some of the balls from the kids “ball pit”.
Linc is a thinker. “Work smarter, not harder.”
Shooting Range
I painted mini-targets on coasters, and put a small peg on the back. I set them up in the kids book case. Easy peasy.
Doughnut on a String
Complete with homemade awning.
The Food
The Cake
I am by no means a talented Baker, but it turned out ok. I was more excited about the cake stand and the cute toppers.
What is a Carnival without Funnel Cakes ?
Judging by the look on this little guys face, I would qualify this party as a success.
