Jewel Tone Fall Tablescape

September 14, 2018

Hey all!  Well according to my Instagram feed, Fall is here!  Meanwhile,  in Florida it is still in the 90’s. However this Ohio girl is trying to adapt to Florida life. I  grew up having  all the seasons, and Fall was always my favorite. I loved everything about it, the colors, the smell, the sweatshirts!  So what is a girl to do?  Like I said I am am trying to adapt.  So I  light my Autumn candle, crank the air conditioning, and  try to bring some of the Fall colors indoors. Specifically, I am going for a Jewel Tone Fall Tablescape.

I have to admit,   I am VERY proud of myself in regards to this season’s color palette.  I  Corey Decker  used color!   It’s not even just blue and green, it has reds, and oranges, and gorgeous jewel tones.  I am so dang proud of myself!
I even  tried out using some deep hunter green  stemware!  I loved it, but I think I gravitated back towards the clear glass by the end of the photo shoot,  but I did include a couple of the outtakes! For the actual table setting,  I kept it simple.  I used our everyday white dishes,  threw in a napkin for some color and a basic piece of brown card stock for  a name placement card.   I really just wanted to keep it as basic as possible because I felt like there was already a lot going on.  I just snagged a sprig of eucalyptus from the centerpiece and laid it delicately on the plate.  Done and done!  ( Spoiler alert:  The gold flatware are actually plastic! I use just use them for staging purposes. Winning!)
I have never been an overly ecstatic lover of color,  but I am getting my toes wet and think I might start finding some middle ground.  Okay, now I am about to really blow your mind! Forever ago I made a table runner tray that  I use on repeat for most of my Holiday Tablescapes. Why?  Because it is so dang practical!  I love making the table look beautiful, but let’s be real.  It’s often extremely  impractical.  It’s hard to actually serve food when  your table is full of stems.  Enter in the table runner tray! Just pick it up and move it conveniently out of the way! No muss, no fuss!

Want one for your self!?  You are in luck friend,  I have  simple build plans here:

That pretty much wraps things up!  If you want to make sure you remember this little trick for the future, make sure you pin it!

Thanks so much, and take luck!
Corey

Meet Corey

Hi everyone, my name is Corey, and I have a problem. I can’t leave well enough alone… The best therapy usually involves a variety of power tools. So, in the few “spare” moments I am not entertaining my two beautiful, rambunctious, boys, I can typically be found hunched over a sewing machine and/or covered in sawdust. All in the efforts to create a perfect balance of aesthetics and practicality in our home.

I leaned in heavily to the dark moody feel for the guest bedroom makeover and I love it! The dark sienna hue, coupled with my @kilzbrand #accentwallchallenge is absolutely stunning. (If I do say so myself.)
I have a room tour, wall tutorial and source links on the site today. #linkinprofile #sponsored #everyprojectisworthit
@Kilzbrand presented me their #accentwallchallenge @Kilzbrand presented me their #accentwallchallenge, and you know how much I love a good challenge!
If I am being completely honest, I feel like I rocked this challenge. It is absolutely insane how a single wall can change the entire feel of a room.

On the site I have a full tutorial on how you too can create this look and all the fun details about my choice of color from the Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines® paint line & the KILZ 3® Premium Primer
